Meet Our Team

Mike Ressler

CEO & Founder

Mike is an athlete, nerd, coach, husband and a very newly minted father. He is originally from East Brunswick, New Jersey (Go Bears!), where he was a co-captain of a two time state champion volleyball team. His love of computers took him to Stanford University for a summer course and inspired him to create his own discrete mathematics course to be offered at his high school. Mike graduated from Carnegie Mellon University (Go Tartans!) in 2.5 years with a degree in Computer Science. While at CMU, Mike was the assistant coach of the women’s volleyball team and president of the men’s club team. His unusual mix of nerd and coach has led him to create StatEasy to solve both his statistical needs as a nerd and his video review needs as a coach.

Chris Shoff

Lead Developer

Chris is a software engineer and all-around technology enthusiast. He graduated from Waynesburg University in 2005 with a degree in Digital Media and Computer Science. After co-founding a Morgantown-based marketing and advertising company, Chris began working closely with Mike at a Pittsburgh software company as a Senior Software Engineer. He would later follow Mike to StatEasy in 2012. Chris enjoys hacking and tinkering with code to create software solutions that simplify people’s lives. He also enjoys camping, bowling, craft beer, reading and film.

Kellen Petrone

Director of Volleyball Operations

Kellen is a former Division 1 volleyball coach and customer of StatEasy. In between coaching jobs he has worked for 4 different start-ups in development and sales positions. Kellen graduated from Duquesne University with a BS in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Kellen still coaches club volleyball and college part-time. He also enjoys traveling, reading, card games, and spending time with his fiancé, Jenny, and their dog Toby.

We utilized the stats on the bench to help us win a 5-set match against the 4th ranked team in the country! They were not using StatEasy by the way.

Tim Balice

It’s a definite game changer!

Patrick Walton

Mind = Blown.

Lauren Torvi

I think the wives might be the ones that want to really push the husbands into getting this stuff done, because [they] might have more time with [their] family now!

Tom Hursey, Executive Director
Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan

One of our major [focal points] is professional development… That is part of our mission, and this product, hands down, does that.
